Remove Watermark from PDF
Most PDF watermarks (CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, SAMPLE, a company logo) are a separate layer stamped on every page. This tool finds those layers, shows you a before-and-after preview, and cuts out only the watermark, so the real text stays sharp and selectable.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove a watermark from a PDF?
Choose the PDF. The tool lists what looks like a watermark, with the likely ones already ticked. Check the before/after preview, adjust the ticks if needed, and download the PDF.
What kinds of watermarks can it remove?
Text watermarks (including tilted and see-through ones), logos or stamps repeated on every page, watermarks added by Adobe Acrobat or our own Watermark PDF tool, and watermark annotations.
Why does it say no watermark was found?
The watermark is probably baked into the page image. That is common with scanned PDFs. Convert the page to JPG, remove the mark with the image watermark remover, and convert it back to PDF.
Will the rest of my PDF change?
No. Only the instructions that draw the watermark are removed; fonts, text, images and layout stay exactly as they were.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
Am I allowed to remove a watermark?
Use it on your own documents, or ones you are authorised to edit. Removing a watermark to misuse someone else’s document can break the law. See our terms of use.
