What size is a passport-size photo in India?
35 × 45 mm (3.5 × 4.5 cm) is the standard passport-size photo used on Indian application forms, ID cards and documents. US passports and the Indian visa use 51 × 51 mm (2 × 2 inch) — both are available here.
How should I take the photo?
Face the camera straight on, with even light and a neutral expression, eyes open, no cap or dark glasses. Hold the phone at eye level about an arm’s length away. The background does not matter — it is replaced.
How many photos fit on a print sheet?
Eight 35 × 45 mm photos fit on 4 × 6 inch photo paper, and thirty on an A4 sheet. Print at 100% / "actual size" so the photos come out at exactly 35 × 45 mm.
My form wants the photo under 50 KB. Can I do that?
Yes — type the limit in "Max size (KB)" before downloading. The photo keeps its exact pixel size and only the compression is adjusted.
Is my photo uploaded?
