Photo Resizer in KB
Online application forms reject photos that are too large, too small or the wrong shape. Pick the KB limit your form asks for, optionally the exact pixel size, and get a JPG that fits — at the highest quality that stays under the limit. Your photo never leaves your device.
Frequently asked questions
How do I reduce a photo to a specific KB size?
Choose your photo, type the maximum size in KB (for example 50), and the tool finds the best JPG quality that fits. If quality alone cannot get it small enough, it reduces the dimensions slightly as well.
Can I set a minimum size too?
Yes. Some forms want, say, 20–50 KB. Enter both numbers; if your photo would come out smaller than the minimum, the tool increases its size until it is within the range.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The image is resized and compressed inside your browser, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, so it is safe for ID photos and signatures.
What format is the resized file?
JPG (JPEG), which almost every online application form asks for. Transparent areas in PNG images become white.
My form also asks for exact dimensions in pixels. Can I set them?
Yes. Choose "Exact pixels", enter the width and height from the notification (for example 200 × 230), and the photo is cropped to that shape from the centre before it is compressed to the KB limit.
